Two destinations share this setting

Loggerhead Park and Loggerhead Marinelife Center are related places to plan together, but they are not the same operation. The county manages the park; the center has its own visitor rules and opening information. Our editorial recommendation is to decide whether the day is primarily a beach-and-park outing or a center visit, then add the other if time, weather and access allow. This prevents a closed facility in one part from becoming an unnecessary surprise.Official sources: Loggerhead Park — county listing.

What the park adds

The county lists guarded beachfront, a nature trail, playground structures covering ages 2–12 and 5–12, picnic tables with grills, family shelters, parking, restrooms and outdoor showers. General access is sunrise to sunset. The park also contains a Celestial Railroad historical marker. Fishing and surfing are excluded from the guarded swimming area. These are park amenities; they do not describe the center’s exhibits, admission or special programs.Official sources: Loggerhead Park — county listing.

The south restroom notice

When checked October 26, 2026, the county posted improvement work closing the south-side restrooms from October 26 through November 5, 2026, with portable toilets planned onsite. The notice says the schedule depends on weather and may change. Do not interpret November 5 as a verified reopening. If permanent restroom access is necessary, contact the operator for an update before making this your main base.Official sources: Loggerhead Park — county listing.

Plan the transition between park and center

Keep a beach picnic separate from the center visit: the center publishes its own restrictions on outside food, drinks and pets, and asks visitors needing accommodations to contact it. Its campus is mostly outdoors, with weather-related closures possible. Before moving between activities, allow time to reorganize belongings rather than expecting every item from a beach setup to be appropriate inside a visitor campus. Consult each operator for access needs instead of treating one venue’s accommodation as proof for the other.Official sources: Loggerhead Marinelife Center visitor information.

Make the outing fit the facilities you need

Our simplest plan is to choose one main activity and use the others as optional additions. If restroom works complicate a full day, a shorter visit may be more practical than transporting an elaborate picnic. Specific accessible beach equipment was not established by the reviewed county listing, so ask about the actual route to the sand. For swimming, check official county conditions and flags; the nature center’s opening status says nothing about ocean conditions.Official sources: Palm Beach County beach conditions.

Pair it with a different kind of stop

Editorial combinations; plan each visit separately.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center

The natural companion stop is the separately operated Marinelife Center; verify its hours, program availability and campus restrictions.

Juno Beach Park

Use the pier-area park as a different coastal option only after checking its construction update; do not assume all Juno Beach facilities share the same status.
